I can control the devices, but nothing appears in the preview screen.(ilnk is off ) I can capture DV footage without a problem. Make sure you have selected the correct Sony camcorder as device.
In addition, please check the sttings in the capture tool for video coding. By default it is set to DVCPro-HD and not to HDV. Make sure it is set to HDV.
